My passion for web development spurred during a web development module in
my first year of university. As a creative person, I love exploring new ways
to bring ideas to life, and web development perfectly combines my creativity
with my technical skills. Pursuing a career in this field allows me to merge
my love for design with my excitment of coding.
I completed a Coding Traineeship in Full Stack Development, where I studied
Front end and Back end development. I learnt a variety of coding languages
such as: HTML5 & CSS3, Bootstrap, Python, Javascript, PHP, jQuery & SQL.
I would describe myself as friendly, motivated and a team player.
I have been learning about coding since GCSEs, continually expanding my knowledge of new technologies and refining my programming skills.
When I'm not coding, my favourite hobby is art, I love painting and drawing. If I'm not painting then I'm either reading, or at the gym.
I have perfected my communication skills at Waitrose by helping clients with their specific questions. Through these interactions, my ability to solve problems has improved, which is crucial in dynamic settings like web development.
Tutoring has refined my attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills. Explaining complex concepts in an easy understandable way has improved my ability to break down challenging issues, which is cruicial for effective coding and debugging.
At John Lewis, I strenghtened my customer service skills, boosting my confidence and enhancing my collaboration skills. These experiences reflect the teamwork and client-facing tasks I will complete as a Developer.
Co-op was my first professional role, where I developed key communication and organisational skills. I focused on creating a welcoming store environment, using problem-solving and a customer-centric approach. These qualities are equally valuable in building user-friendly web pages.
